The iconic Anjo Solto restaurant, nestled within Recife's legendary Galeria Joana D’arc, undergoes a transformative renovation, seamlessly integrating the access corridor and former annex with the existing space. The design's primary objective was to craft a visually striking ambiance using simple elements, ensuring a unique spatial experience that firmly establishes the restaurant's presence within the loggia.

A key focus was to provide clear differentiation for customers entering from the semi-public loggia of a commercial building, transitioning seamlessly between its daytime retail use and the restaurant's evening ambiance. This was achieved through dynamic ceiling-hung plywood fins, dyed in a vibrant red hue, evoking a sense of movement in a wave-like pattern.

Organic, locally-sourced materials were prioritized throughout the renovation, including cementitious floor tiles, restroom surfaces crafted by local artisans, and aged pine wood panels coated in black dye. Artistic elements were seamlessly integrated, with enlarged photographs by Alessandra Botelho adorning the corridor, lounge, and restroom walls, each image thoughtfully chosen to enhance the space's atmosphere and functionality.

The project's innovative design caught the attention of AU magazine, earning a feature in issue 224—a testament to its recognition as an emerging architectural gem in Northeast Brazil.
